Meet Liliana Peinder
I’m running for Huntsville City Council District 3 because I believe strong communities start with strong education and leadership that listens to residents. Huntsville is growing rapidly, and I want to help ensure that growth continues to support the families, students, and working residents who call our city home.
Education has always been central to my work and perspective. I believe strong schools and real partnerships between education and industry help prepare students for meaningful careers and strengthen Huntsville’s future.
Like many families in Huntsville, my family balances work, school schedules, and the rising cost of living while working to build a stable future for our children. Those everyday realities shape my approach to leadership: practical, focused, and grounded in making sure city systems work for the people who rely on them.
I stay actively engaged in our community through civic involvement, including participation in Huntsville’s Citizens Police Academy and regularly attending Huntsville City Council meetings to stay informed about issues affecting residents.
Huntsville’s future is bright, but it requires thoughtful leadership. I’m running for City Council to support strong education partnerships, safe neighborhoods, and a city where families can continue to build opportunity for generations to come.

These partnerships help students build real career pathways and ensure Huntsville continues developing a skilled workforce that supports our growing economy.
Supporting educators and strengthening education partnerships strengthens the entire community.

Huntsville’s growth must be managed with intention. New development should move forward alongside the infrastructure and city services that support it.
That means planning for roads, utilities, transportation, and neighborhood stability before growth creates problems. Responsible growth strengthens Huntsville without overwhelming the systems residents rely on.
