Liliana On the Trail

The Liliana Standard

If taxpayers are paying for it, taxpayers should be able to follow it.

On the issues

Smart Growth and Development Accountability

1.

Huntsville can continue growing while protecting the quality of life that makes people want to live here.

We must implement project timelines, infrastructure plans, inspections, environmental reviews and compliance reporting before, during and after major development.

Your Tax Dollars - Visible

2.

Residents should be able to see how their money is being spent.

Publish project costs, funding sources, contracts, deadlines, delays, progress and results in plain language.

If taxpayers are paying for it, taxpayers should be able to follow it.

Roads and Strong Public Services

3.

Growth requires infrastructure and public services that keep pace

We must prioritize repaving, drainage, sidewalks, traffic, libraries, parks, senior services, recreation, third spaces and multimodal transit.

Opportunity for Every Generation

4.

A growing city should create opportunities for people at every stage of life.

Liliana will support attainable housing, first-time homebuyers assistance, senior independence, universal Pre-K, career pathways, apprenticeships and stronger city-school-workforce partnerships.

Protect Our Neighborhoods and Our Future

5.

Residents deserve a meaningful voice when major decisions could affect their neighborhoods.

Strengthen environmental and zoning transparency, a 2-year moratorium on data centers, anti flock measures and equitable and responsible economic development across Huntsville.

Meet Liliana Peinder

Liliana Peinder did not grow up with a safety net. She grew up learning how to build one.

Liliana knows what it means to build stability through hard work, responsibility, and service to others. Raised in a family connected to both military service and small business, she learned early the importance of discipline, accountability, and showing up for your community.

She became a homeowner at just 22 years old, an accomplishment that reflects the work ethic and determination that have guided her throughout her life. That experience helped shape something she believes deeply: Huntsville should remain a city where young people and working families can build a life, buy a home, raise their children, and put down roots.

Today, Liliana and her family balance work, school schedules, rising costs, and the everyday responsibilities that come with building a stable future for their children. Those experiences shape her approach to leadership: practical, grounded, and focused on making sure the systems people rely on actually work
