City Council Meeting - April 23, 2026

It’s one thing to celebrate our community…
It’s another to invest in it for the long run.

Last night, Liliana Peinder spoke at City Council to thank them for supporting events like the Independence Day celebration at Ditto Landing—because moments like that bring people together.

But she also asked an important question:

What happens after the event is over?

District 3 deserves more than temporary moments—we need lasting improvements.

✔️ Bathrooms and pavilion spaces at Ditto Landing
✔️ Dog stations and functional amenities
✔️ More shade and gathering areas at places like Weatherly Elementary School

Liliana is advocating for smart, practical investments that families can use every single day—not just once a year.

She also called for greater transparency in how district funds are prioritized and wants the community to have a stronger voice in those decisions.

Because building a better Huntsville starts with listening—and delivering.
