Liliana Peinder, who is running for city council (district 3/Jenny Robinson’s seat) comes into this meeting and immediately addresses the planning issues of the city of Huntsville, Alabama, and why some of the board members were not consulted. Secondly, she addresses the poor retention of teachers in a SMART CITY.
Lastly, she puts Mayor Battle on notice about why he walked out of the Huntsville Utility special sessions meeting in 2/27/26 and never returned. She says: ”With rising utility costs and expansion projects that may carry environmental impact, it was difficult to not notice that Mayor Battle WALKED OUT! Citizens reasonably expect issues and conversations to receive fulll attention of city leadership.
